The Sandbar. With a sandy bottom and only 2ft of water this area of the lake is the perfect place to drop anchor and just chill. Wading and swimming while watching the boats come in and out of port is a great way to spend the day.

Fishing. In a state known for its fishing, Pere Marquette Lake holds its place near the top of the state’s great fishing lakes. Large and Small Mouth Bass, Pike, Walleye, Perch, Crappie and Bluegills are caught regularly on the lake. There is also a seasonal fishery for King Salmon and Steelhead Trout. Jigging for Kings in the fall has become increasingly popular on the lake over the past few years. Catching these giant fish while jigging is something every fisherman needs to experience. Our boat is equipped with a Hummingbird fish finder as well as a live well to keep you catch fresh. On the map below it shows where to fish for each species.

Badger and Spartan Car Ferrys. Depending on the time of year the Badger Car Ferry will be in port as well as its nonfunctioning sister ship the Spartan. Getting to view these giant Ships from the water is exciting for people all ages. It is like stepping back in time 75 years to a bygone era when Lake Michigan was dominated by these massive ferries.

Father Pere Marquette’s Cross. This beautiful cross has stood for 70 years and memorializes the location of the death of Father Pere Marquette in 1675. Father Marquette, a Jesuit Missionary, lead many explorations throughout the great lake’s region.
